Jelena was Erik and Kara's mother and one of the previous Di-Gata Defenders.
She sacrificed herself to help the Wizards of Yan to cast the Spell of Binding on the Megalith.

She was jovial and encouraging, witty and talkative, where her husband was silent and intense.
